The trial will be run in accordance with CARO Master General Handbook rules and regulations – a judge will hold a briefing immediately before the event begins.

An officiating Judge, and/or the Chairperson of the trial, may dismiss from the trial site any person subjecting the Judge or members or the organizing committee to abuse, whether that person is competing in the trial or not.
There shall be no refunds for entries withdrawn after advance entry closes, or in the event a dog and/or handler are dismissed from competition, regardless or the reason for such dismissal. However, refunds will be issued for dogs that come into heat provided a veterinarian’s certificate is received by the Trial Secretary prior to the trial. Overpayments under $10 will not be refunded.
Physically challenged handlers and dogs are encouraged to participate. Modifications of the course for both handler and dog are permitted, at the judge’s discretion. All requests for modifications to a course must accompany the Entry Form (registration form) for the trial. The request should be in writing and should explain the handicap, a description of the physical challenges involved and of the modifications requested. Dogs at the Advanced or higher levels are not required to compete with a collar. All dogs in all classes must enter and exit the ring with a collar and lead. Extendable leashes, slip leashes, prong, shock and choke collars are not permitted on the property.
- Please pick up after your dog, waste receptacles & bags will be provided.
- Dogs must be on leash when not in the ring, no flexi’s permitted on the property.
- Please bring a crate, due to Insurance Liability NO dog can be left unattended if not in a crate.
- Please remember indoor shoes for competition on the turf!
- Safety shall always be first, please act accordingly!
- No smoking, vaping or cannabis permitted on the property.
General Agreement & Disclaimer
The person who signs this agreement represents that he/she (“I”) is authorized to enter into this agreement. I certify that I am the actual owner of the dog, or that I am the duly authorized agent of the actual owner of the dog entered hereon. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry, I/we (“I”) have read, and understand and will abide by the Official Rules and Regulations of the Canadian Association of Rally Obedience (CARO) in the effect at the time of this entry, and by any additional rules and regulations set out by The Poodle Farm.
I certify and represent that the dog entered is not a hazard to persons or other dogs.
I agree that The Poodle Farm has the right to refuse this entry for cause, which the organization shall deem to be sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of hosting of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog participate or be judged, I agree to hold the organization, its members, officers and directors, CARO, and its officers and directors, sponsors of the event, owners of the premises upon which the event is held and their employees, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or upon the premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss of this dog by disappearance, theft, death, or otherwise, and from any claim for damage or injury be caused or alleged to be caused by the negligence of the parties aforementioned, or by the negligence of any other person, or any other cause or causes. I assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expenses (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting therefore, sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves) or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this event, howsoever such injuries, death or damage may be caused, any whether or not the same may have been caused or may have been alleged to have been caused by negligence of the aforementioned parties any of their employees or agent, or any other person.
The personal information collected herein is for the purpose of enabling you to participate in our trial as a competitor. The personal information you have provided will be used by The Poodle Farm to administer this event in accordance with the CARO rules governing the hosting of a rally-o trial. By signing below, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as described herein.
In submitting an electronic entry, I accept that I have read, understand, acknowledge and agree to abide by the above Agreement, & understand that I am fully and completely responsible for the behavior of my dog(s) attending this event whether entered or not.
Your Dog
No entry will be accepted without a CARO dog ID number. We can no longer accept entries without the number.
- If you do not have a CARO number, please visit the CARO website and complete the form online, pay with Paypal.
- CARO is no longer accepting paper applications for Dog Registrations submitted at the trial venue.
Jump height is not a required datum for Novice entries. For all other classes, please refer to the following table.

Technical Issues
We have encountered some unexpected technical issues with our webhost. For unexplained reasons the completed on-line entry forms stopped arriving in our mailbox. Filling out and submitting the forms goes just fine, and our exhibitors weren't encountering any difficulty. But the entry is getting lost in the Interweb.
Until we get this sorted out, please download and complete the entry form in the » Premium List and e-mail it directly to me. Secretary@thepoodlefarm.com
Fill it in with Acrobat Reader and save the .PDF, fill it in by hand and scan to .PDF or take a picture on your phone and send it to me. If I see an unexpected Interac e-transfer I will know to watch for an entry form. Hopefully we get this all sorted out quickly. Thanks for your patience.
