Wow!
We were blessed with ideal conditions for a November trial. A strong
entry for the Friday afternoon Rally Obedience trial and four fully
subscribed licensed Obedience trails. Our thanks go out to the Judges,
Ted Leslie for Rally and Leslie Marshall who judged Obedience under her
own name on Saturday for 2 trials, and again for 2 trials on Sunday as
a substitute for Ted. Thanks also to the many volunteers from PCC and
The Poodle Farm who took turns as stewards and ring crew.
There
were some spectacular performances by the veterans, both in Rally and
Obedience as well as notable Novice performances worthy of special
mention.
» Charlie MacMillan really really did a outstanding job with his
Golden Retriever 'Fly'R', earning 3 HITs and going 10 for 10
over the
3 days of the event.
» Janis Leslie brought her Standard Poodle 'Trudeau', and in her rookie
appearance titled in Novice A with an insurance leg besides.
» High Scoring Poodle for the Day on Saturday was Vivienne Swarbreck
with her Standard Poodle, 'Troy'.
» High Scoring Poodle for the Day on Sunday was Debby DaCosta with her
Miniature Poodle, 'Kallysta'.
- » Our own cadre of Poodle Farm students & aficionados also excelled competing on 'home field' in Rally and in Obedience.
- » Dr. Sue with 'Janyse' & 'Devyn'
- » Karen O. with 'Pudge' & 'Charlie'
- » Lindsay and 'Gracie' with qualifying scores in their first CKC Rally trial
- » Karen W. with 'Cooper' qualifying also in Nov A Rally

Debby and I would like to thank everyone again who attended, competed,
judged, stewarded and otherwise contributed to the success of this
weekend. We hope to see you again in 2012. Don't worry, mac'n'cheese
will be on the menu. I promise.
